Estos son los nominados a los Oscar encabezados por Guillermo del Toro, ‘Coco’, ‘Una Mujer Fantástica’ y hasta Kobe Bryant

Esta la lista de nominados a la 90 entrega de los Oscar de la Academia 2018, donde la cinta del director mexicano Guillermo de Toro “The Shape of Water”, parte como favorita con un total de 13 nominaciones, según anunció hoy la Academia de Hollywood.

Entre las sorpresas surge la nominación de la realizadora Greta Gerwig por su cinta “Lady Bird”, mientras que en la categoría a Mejor Actor quedó fuera de las nominaciones James Franco.

En otra de las sorpresas, “Dear Basketball,” (“Querido Básquetbol”), un cortometraje creado por Kobe Bryant, ex figura de Los Ángeles Lakers, y por el animador veterano de Disney Glen Keane, recibió una nominación al Oscar en la categoría a Mejor Corto Animado.

Como era de esperarse, Guillermo de Toro fue nominado a Mejor Director, mientras que “Coco”, de Disney Pixar, recibió nominación a la Mejor Cinta Animada y la película chilena “Una mujer fantástica” resultó ser la representante latina en la terna a Mejor Película Extranjera.

Del Toro, quien se encuentra en Japón trabajando, reaccionó por sus nominaciones a los Oscar a través de un comunicado. “Es un gran honor y una gran alegría el estar aquí con una película que es fiel a mis convicciones y a las imágenes que amo desde la infancia. Agradezco a la academia y a mis colegas de profesión su amable disposición hacia “La Forma del Agua” . Comparto estas nominaciones con todos los jóvenes cineastas en México y Latinoamérica que tienen sus esperanzas puestas en el quehacer cinematográfico y en la historia íntima de su imaginación…”, dijo el realizador mexicano.

La ceremonia 90 de entrega de los Premios Oscar, presentados por la Academia de las Artes y las Ciencias Cinematográficas (AMPAS) a los mejores filmes de 2017, se celebrará el proximo 4 de marzo de este año en el Dolby Theatre de Los Ángeles.
