New York Knicks defeat Boston Celtics 117-109


The New York Knicks ' Trey Burke on Wednesday ended his team's six consecutive loss streak by leading his team to victory over the Boston Celtics 117-109 with a double-double of 29 points and 11 assists, at the TD Garden in Boston.

The Knicks (5-14), are now placed at the last position in the Atlantic Division standings.

Tim Hardaway added 21 points and Noah Vonleh added 16 points and 10 rebounds for the Knicks.

The Celtics (9-9), who had their third consecutive loss, are now placed at the third place in the Atlantic Division standings.

Kyrie Irving led with 22 points and 13 assist and Marcus Morris added 21 points and 8 rebounds and Al Horford at center added 19 points in 35 minutes along with seven of the 11 field goals, seven rebounds and five assists for the Boston Celtics.
