Russell scores 20 points, leads Nets to 92-104 victory over Heat


Brooklyn Nets point guard D'Angelo Russell on Tuesday led his team to a 92-104 win over Miami Heat , scoring 20 points and nine rebounds, at the American Airlines Arena in Miami.

With their fifth win in the last ten games, the Nets (8-10) are at the penultimate position in the Atlantic Division standings.

Spencer Dinwiddie contributed 16 points and Jarrett Allen got a double-double with 13 points and 14 rebounds for the Brooklyn Nets who are 1.5 games behind the Boston Celtics , third in the group.

Shabazz Napier recorded six points, one rebound and an assist in his nine minutes on the court.

The Miami Heat (6-11), added their third consecutive loss, and are placed penultimate in the South East Division standings.

The Heat attack was led by Hassan Whiteside with a double-double of 21 points and 23 rebounds.

Josh Richardson added 16 points while Rodney McGruder added 15 points for the Miami Heat, who are now tied with the Washington Wizards , 2.5 games behind the leading Orlando Magic and Charlotte Hornets.
