Argentina’s national team ended both the year 2018 and Lionel Scaloni’s term as interim coach with a 2-0 win over Mexico on Tuesday, playing in the Malvinas Argentinas stadium, in Mendoza.

The first goal was scored by Mauro Icardi shortly before the 2nd minute and the next was scored by Paulo Dybala, who had entered just before the 86th minute.

Icardi’s goal was after an assist from Erik Lamela, while Dybala’s came after a pass from Giovanni Simeone.

It was the first goals of both Icardi and Dybala with the Argentinian national team.

The match, after that surprising start with Icardi’s goal, lost intensity and became monotonous, with no outstanding moves until Dybala’s entry.

Both coaches took advantage of this friendly to make a lot of changes and test a number of players.

At the end of the match, Dybala ensured victory in a counterattack led by Simeone.
