(Frank Franklin II / AP)Después de su último combate ante Saúl Álvarez, Gennady Golovkin regresó al cuadrilátero para medirse ante un relativamente desconocido Steve Rolls en el Madison Square Gardens de Nueva York. Golovkin venció sin problemas a Rolls al noquearlo en el cuarto round con 1:02 por pelear. Por momentos parecía que Rolls tenía más que ofrecer pero finalmente el kazajo demostró ser mucho para el canadiense.
‘GGG’ sufrió su primera derrota profesional ante Canelo, en septiembre de 2018, con quien busca una tercera pelea, pero antes tendrá que lidiar con un hambriento e invicto Rolls (19-0, 10 KOs).
